Express Entry Program for Canada

Express Entry Program for Canada

Under three of its federal skilled worker immigration programs, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) organizes and processes applications for skilled workers using an online portal called Express Entry.https://skillboatimmigration.com/canada/

  • The Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC)
  • The Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
  • The Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC).

It is a competitive immigration system where all qualified applicants are ranked against one another according to their age, education, language ability, job experience, and other criteria. Then, through periodical drawings, the candidates who placed highest are invited to apply for Canadian permanent residency.

Eligibility Requirements

http://contact us tell:9738997388If a candidate wants to be considered for the Express Entry Program, they must:

  • Have a minimum 1 year of continuous work experience in the last 10 years in the skill level O, A or B under the National Occupational Classification (NOC) list;
  • Meet or exceed the minimum language threshold of Canadian language benchmark (CLB) as per the program requirement;
  • Hold a Canadian educational credential equivalent to high school or a foreign educational credential along with an educational credential assessment (ECA) report must be provided from a designated agency.

How Express Entry works

  • Determine Eligibility in one of the three economic immigration programs: Potential applicants will need to be eligible for one of the three immigration programs in Express Entry to get into the pool.
  • Create an Express Entry profile: Eligible candidates are required to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) by creating a profile in Express Entry portal summarizing their skills and credentials including Age, Education, Language, Work Experience, and others.

Both the ECA report and legitimate language test results must be submitted with the application.

Following submission, qualified candidates are added to a pool of applicants. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), which ranks applications on a scale of 1200 points, is then immediately applied to this pool of applicants. The probability that a candidate will obtain an Invitation to Apply (ITA) increases with their CRS score.

How Express Entry profile points determined

Using a Comprehensive Ranking System, candidates are given a score that determines where they will be placed in the express entry pool. You’ll receive points for your Express Entry profile depending on:

  • Your age;
  • Your education level;
  • Your abilities in English and/or French (Canada’s 2 official languages);
  • Your work experience and skills;
  • If you have a job offer in Canada;
  • your spouse’s education, language abilities and work experience; and
  • Combination of above factors.

If you have a provincial nomination or have finished a Canadian college or university program, you will also receive more points.

Provincial Nominee Programs aligned with Express Entry

Many Canadian provinces and territories have provincial nominee immigration streams connected to Federal Express Entry in an effort to draw in highly qualified immigrants and address labour market shortages.

Although a nomination from one of Canada’s provinces is not required to be accepted into the Express Entry pool or to get an ITA, it can raise a candidate’s CRS score by 600 points and eventually make it possible for that candidate to do so.

There have been many Express Entry-aligned PNP streams that are now available. These streams are extremely popular and can open, fill up, or alter at any time.
